Videos on several free mainstream video hosts (Crackle, TubiTV, etc.) will not start if AdBlock is on. AdBlock Plus is a useful tool that may (or may not) block many such ads, but: It appears that some advertising services allow unmonitored ads from pretty much anyone who’ll pay. Note that the malware threats come from some of the random pop-ups supplied through outside ad-trafficking services, not directly from the indexed video hosts.
